Compare health insurance premiums
Nexin helps you see quickly how basic insurance, model choice and deductible affect your monthly premium. The comparison flow highlights suitable offers in your region without insurance jargon.
You choose the key settings, and the result stays readable. That makes it easier to spot real savings potential and the setup that fits your day-to-day life.

Basic insurance
Basic insurance is mandatory in Switzerland. Comparing premiums, models and deductibles helps you find the most efficient setup.

Supplementary insurance
Supplementary cover adds optional benefits. The right choice depends on underwriting rules, exclusions and the value of the extra benefits.

Prenatal registration
Registering before birth can secure cover for your baby early and improve access to supplementary benefits from day one.

Cross-border commuters
Cross-border commuters face special deadlines and insurance rules. The right setup depends on where you live and work.
Compare insurance models
Standard, HMO, family doctor and Telemed all work differently in practice. A good comparison shows not only the cheaper premium, but also how much flexibility you give up in return.
That gives you a cleaner trade-off between cost, access and routine before you switch.
Adjust the deductible
The deductible changes both your monthly premium and your financial exposure during the year. Nexin helps you weigh lower premiums against higher out-of-pocket risk.
This is usually where a lot of the savings logic sits, especially if your healthcare usage is predictable.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often before people start comparing.
Is health insurance compulsory in Switzerland?
Yes, there is a statutory insurance requirement in Switzerland. All people who live in Switzerland or work here must take out basic insurance. However, you are free to choose your health insurance provider.
When can I cancel my health insurance?
Cancellation of basic insurance is possible at certain deadlines. If you cancel your contract on December 31st, the letter must be received by the health insurance company by November 30th at the latest. Under certain conditions in the standard model with a deductible of CHF 300, a change is also possible on June 30th.
What does my health insurance cover abroad?
Basic insurance only covers medically necessary emergency treatment abroad and only to a limited extent. For stays outside Europe, protection is often incomplete, which is why suitable supplementary insurance can make sense.
When can I adjust my deductible?
An increase in the deductible is possible until December 31st of the current year. A reduction must be applied for in writing to the health insurance company by November 30th at the latest and is valid from January 1st of the following year.
What services does my health insurance cover?
The benefits of basic insurance are regulated in the KVG and cover medically necessary treatments, medication and hospital stays in the general ward. supplementary insurance covers additional services depending on the contract and provider.
Why is it worth comparing health insurance companies?
The statutory benefits are the same for all health insurance companies, but the premiums vary greatly depending on where you live, model and deductible. A regular comparison can save several hundred francs per year.
